Steve Altizer
Steve Altizer
President
With nearly four decades of experience building some of the world’s most sophisticated government and commercial facilities, Steve brings our clients the leadership, commitment, and unparalleled expertise needed to deliver successful outcomes on complex highly engineered projects.
Steve’s obsession with advanced technology, his real-world construction experience and his passion for highly responsive customer service provide the foundation for the Compu Dynamics service promise.
In 2002, Steve founded the Andrew Browning Group (now Compu Dynamics). Prior to that, he served as a senior executive with several nationally ranked general and mechanical contractors. His work led him across the United States and overseas.
Throughout his career, Steve has been a student of and thought leader in, the technology and science behind today’s modern building environments. This interest has naturally led to an affinity for clients whose requirements drive them toward facilities that are smart, clean, safe, reliable, and secure. His focus for the last 23 years has been exclusively on data centers ranging in size from 20 kW to over 100 MW.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Virginia.
For fun, Steve enjoys tennis and pickleball. When he is not competing in business, he may be found sweating it out on a racquet court!

Lee Piazza
Lee Piazza
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President of Compu Dynamics, Lee is responsible for Finance, IT, Legal, and other administrative functions of the company. He also works closely with the Sales team on electrical projects. He served as President of Loudoun Electric Company from 2005 until its acquisition by Compu Dynamics in September 2011. Prior to that, Lee worked for industry-leading data center operator Equinix helping to build the Sales Engineering team beginning in the company’s start-up phase in 1999.
Lee grew Loudoun Electric from a small, well-respected local company into one of the Washington DC region’s Top 25 electrical contractors during his tenure. Under his leadership, the company was named to the Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Lee graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering.
For fun, Lee enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and cheering on his kids at their sports. He is also a big fan of Tom Brady’s Purple Carrot TB12 Performance Meals plan and strictly avoids carbs, dairy and sugar (except for beer, pizza, ice cream, and Oreo cookies).

Brent Cato
Brent Cato
Chief Financial Officer
Brent joined Compu Dynamics in 2022 as our Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities focus on leading all aspects of accounting, auditing, and financial management. His leadership ability brings an incredible depth of knowledge to his team.
Brent brings more than 30 years of construction accounting experience, including system integration, job cost-centered financial reporting, and department management from day-to-day operations through annual audit management. He has helped develop workflow processes centered on the perfect balance of technology and teamwork to help businesses evolve and succeed. He is a Sage 300 guru, including process development and training, system installation, and upgrade and reconciliation.
For fun, you can find Brent enjoying various team sports like softball, golf, and bowling. He is also an avid runner. When not participating in sports, Brent enjoys wine and spending time at his family vineyard.

Mark Miller
Mark Miller
Vice President of Construction
Mark is an experienced construction executive with over 30 years of expertise in large and small commercial projects. Mark’s career has spanned multiple market sectors, including healthcare, laboratory, hospitality, municipal, offices, mixed-use space, parking, and PPEA (PPP) projects. Before joining Compu Dynamics, Mark served as the Senior Vice President for Skanska USA Building, successfully repositioning their Mid-Atlantic Business Unit into the healthcare and laboratory market sectors. In doing so, Skanska earned key wins valued at over $270 million.
Most recently, Mark supervised and directed the preconstruction and construction of the Outpatient Pavilion and Parking Garage project for Virginia Hospital Center, delivering a new 260,000 SF state-of-the-art outpatient clinic and 1700-space garage in Arlington, VA. Previous landmark projects include the DC Water New Headquarters Office, Washington, DC; the Stamford Hospital Expansion and Renovation project in Stamford, CT; Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s, Janelia Farm Research Campus in Ashburn, VA; the Newseum, Washington DC; the Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA; and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL.
Mark graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He then completed his Master’s in Business Administration at the University of South Florida, followed by his Masters in Design Studies-Real Estate and Urban Development, with distinction, from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
Mark is a licensed professional engineer and licensed general contractor in Virginia and Florida, and a LEED Accredited Professional. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his son’s basketball games, traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with his family.

Rob Morgan
Rob Morgan
Director of Project Management / Preconstruction
As the Director of Project Management / Preconstruction for Compu Dynamics, Rob is tasked with organizing and overseeing all the company’s project management and estimating activities. His key responsibilities include recruiting and managing staff members, establishing processes and procedures, developing software and systems, and ensuring successful outcomes for our customers.
Rob brings over 38 years of industry experience, including a previous stint as owner of his own Electrical contracting business. From 2011 to 2015, Rob served as Compu Dynamics’ Director of Electrical Operations. He then spent five years working as a Project Executive for a large national contractor handling projects across the country.
Rob is a team-focused leader who believes that with the right team and vision, the sky is the limit.
For fun, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, downhill skateboarding, riding his motorcycle, and playing guitar.

Jim Cobb
Jim Cobb
Director of Electrical Operations
Jim joined Compu Dynamics in 2015 to oversee and manage our in-house electrical workforce. Jim brings over 25 years of mission-critical design/construction experience, both in the mid-Atlantic and across the country. His experience in the commercial construction industry adds another decade of experience beyond mission-critical.
Prior to Compu Dynamics, Jim worked for Total Site Solutions, a national data center firm, deploying high-density containerized data centers at eBay and Microsoft sites all around the US. Jim also has vast experience managing teams of electricians as a Division Manager, and on specific sites as Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman.
Jim enjoys an enormous depth of expertise in UPS systems, AC and DC power distribution, low voltage cabling, and backup generation. His knowledge and experience ensure that we can confidently, safely, and effectively build and upgrade electrical systems for just about any data center environment.
For fun, Jim enjoys hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and riding motorcycles!

Chris Lydick
Chris Lydick
Director of Government and Infrastructure Services
Chris joined Compu Dynamics in 2017 to oversee and manage the in-house day-to-day operations of the ISD department. In 2021 the ISD department branched into Cleared Telecommunications work, and Chris started serving a dual role as the Director of Cleared Services. Chris brings over 20 years of IT experience, specializing in global data center operations management, IT service delivery, and project and program management. Throughout his career, he has worn many hats from desktop services technician to SAN engineer to Global Data Center Operations Manager.
Prior to Compu Dynamics, Chris worked for Radius Networks deploying proximity technology globally and spent 10 years at Symantec overseeing Global Data Center Operations Management. His experience leading global infrastructure deployments, cloud transformations, data center build-outs and relocations will assist your organization in achieving your IT department’s goals and objectives.
For fun, Chris enjoys running his kids around to sports and dance and spending time with family and friends.

Mike Durniak
Mike Durniak
Director of Sales
Mike brings over 25 years of sales experience in telecommunications, technology, and pharmaceutical industries and has expert qualifications in all areas of executive sales leadership, business strategy, marketing, P&L oversight, and human resources management. Mike has helped integrate multiple sales organizations, including UUNET, Broadwing Communications, Merck, and Ceva, and has delivered millions of dollars of revenue through multiple sales channels.
Prior to joining Compu Dynamics, Mike served as a Regional Sales Manager at Ceva. Mike served as a Regional Sales Manager for Key Accounts at Merck and Director of Network Sales at Broadwing Communications. Prior to Broadwing Communications, Mike served as a Vice President of Network Sales at UUNET.
Mike graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
For fun, Mike enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family and can usually be seen on the sidelines of one of his four kids’ football, soccer, or basketball games.

Nikki Williamson
Nikki Williamson
Director of Marketing
Nikki joined Compu Dynamics in 2023 to raise public awareness of our company and our capabilities. Nikki brings over 20 years of strategic marketing experience delivering high-impact business results, including growing market share, acquiring, and retaining clients, launching service divisions, expanding into new markets, and rebranding companies. Throughout her career, she has worked in a range of sectors, including architecture, engineering, construction, and colocation providers.
Prior to Compu Dynamics, Nikki served as Director of Marketing for E2 Optics where she was responsible for advancing the company’s brand and national presence while organically growing the client base. Prior to there, Nikki worked for Vantage Data Centers and played an instrumental role in the growth of the organization.
Nikki graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and public relations and a minor in French. She also holds a Master of Science in marketing from The Johns Hopkins University.
For fun, Nikki enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Tara Walter, PHR, SHRM-CP
Tara Walter, PHR, SHRM-CP
Director of Human Resources
Tara is a veteran of the United States Air Force and joined Compu Dynamics in 2017. She has over 24 years of human resources experience including developing HR processes and policies, compliance, employee relations, performance management, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and training.
Prior to joining Compu Dynamics, Tara worked for CroppMetcalfe where she was responsible for overseeing the HR Department including payroll, benefits, recruitment, performance management, and training. She also played a key role in all company acquisitions.
Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Thomas Edison State University. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
For fun, Tara enjoys cruising the Caribbean and spending time with her family.

Russell Whitten
Russell Whitten
Director of Service Operations
Russell joined Compu Dynamics in 2021 as a Senior Project Manager with the goal of managing our teams and projects. In 2023, Russell was promoted to Director of Service Operations and is now responsible for overseeing our Service Department.
Prior to Compu Dynamics, Russell worked for Schneider Electric, as Area Service Manager—Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. He brings over 25 years of management experience. Throughout his career, Russell has experience in many facets of the data center construction world, including project management, budget development and focusing, WIPs, and product development to name a few.
For fun, Russell enjoys hiking with his wife and is an amateur nature photographer.
