Montgomery College consists of over 45 buildings on three campuses in Maryland, serving approximately 55,000 students. From a network reliability perspective, the College operates a point of presence (POP) at each campus, with the three sites connected via a high capacity fiber backbone. Unfortunately, the vast majority of building network infrastructure downstream of the POPs is supported by “N” power and cooling, with no back-up generator support. To read about how Compu Dynamics helped the College get reliable end-to-end network connectivity between local systems and distant internet applications download the full case study here.
